Dr. Sarah Wratten was born and raised in Zimbabwe and South Africa, where her father’s work in wildlife conservation sparked her lifelong love of animals. Her early experiences included working with African wildlife—including rhinos, elephants, and many other endangered species. She also spent some years breeding and raising racehorses. She later moved to the United States and earned her veterinary degree from Washington State University.
Her career has taken her around the world, from shelter medicine in the United States to international nonprofit work in underserved communities and emergency and orthopedic care for working dogs in New Zealand. She then returned to Florida in 2025.
Today, Sarah brings that wide-ranging experience to something deeply personal: helping pets and their people have a peaceful, compassionate goodbye at home.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Sarah’s love of animals continues to shape her life. She enjoys international travel, outdoor adventures, and tending to her bees.
